Cookie Policy
How and why Frostline uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. What this is
This Cookie Policy explains how Frostline uses cookies, local storage, and similar tracking technologies on debtidepot.com. It is incorporated into our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file set by a website on your browser. We also use comparable technologies — local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — for the same purposes. Throughout this Policy we use "cookies" as a shorthand for all of them.
3. Categories we set
We group the cookies we set into three categories.
3.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Service to operate. Without these you cannot sign in, your session cannot persist, and we cannot prevent abuse.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| __frostline_session | Session identifier for the signed-in user | 30 days |
| __frostline_csrf | Cross-site request forgery token | session |
| __cf_bm (Cloudflare) | Bot management at the edge | 30 minutes |
| __stripe_mid (Stripe) | Fraud detection on Checkout pages | 12 months |
These cookies do not require consent under EU/UK rules and cannot be disabled while using the Service.
3.2 Analytics
Optional. We use first-party analytics to understand which features people use so we can prioritise the right work. We do not link analytics events to third-party advertising profiles. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| __frostline_analytics_id | Anonymized analytics identifier | 13 months |
3.3 Marketing
Optional. We do not currently set marketing cookies. If we add them, we will update this Policy and ask for your consent before they fire.
4. Third-party cookies
The Stripe Checkout flow sets cookies under stripe.com to operate the payment form and to detect fraud. Their use is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Our identity provider may set cookies under its own domain when you sign in. These cookies are not under our direct control.
5. Your choices
5.1 Cookie banner
The first time you visit the Service from a region where consent is required, we show a banner asking whether you accept analytics cookies. You may accept all, reject all, or open the preferences panel for granular control. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off.
5.2 Browser settings
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. If you do, parts of the Service may not work — for example you may have to sign in repeatedly.
5.3 Global Privacy Control
We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out from analytics and any future marketing cookies.
5.4 Withdrawing consent
You can change your choice at any time at debtidepot.com/cookie-preferences (link in the footer) or by clearing the consent cookie in your browser.
6. Changes
We will update this Policy if we add new cookies or change purposes. The "Effective" date marks the most recent version.
